Gladstone Balancer (Angus Gelbvieh X)

Maungaraki Cattle Company established Gladstone Angus stud in 1996. The herd currently consists of around 60 breeding females with the aim of building up to 100 select cows within the next few years. Since its esablishment we have applied a rigorous selection criteria being particularly strict on structural soundness and doing ability. We are proud of our female herd and feel confident that they would match up with any stud herd in the country.

The Gladstone Angus herd has now been joined with a Gelbvieh bull to produce the Balancer cattle. 

The Balancer is the best of both worlds: it has the growth and muscle you’d expect in the Gelbvieh breed, with the marbling quality you find in the Angus breed.

We have a sealtion of Pure bred Angus cows and Balancer cows and heifers for sale, inspections welcome.
